This young athlete maintains impressive social media following
Kai Trump will have plenty of well-known cheerleaders as she starts her professional golf debut on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to a former US president, was granted a tournament invitation to compete at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
The former president, someone who loves golf, operates numerous international courses and often competes against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we play competitive games," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that Trump, unable to come, told her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa practically advised me to play and enjoy myself," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's simply a normal grandpa. He's not attending for the tournament. He's occupied with presidential duties, so he's quite busy."
As an amateur, Kai has competed in a mere three competitions recently and maintains position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
However she can receive tips from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with Kai's mother.
"He represents the best player worldwide," the young golfer said.
"Furthermore, he's an even better human being. He suggested me to go out there, enjoy myself, following the flow."
She'll challenge several most prominent players in professional golf at this tournament, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers stated that her participation helps introduce golf to different demographics, particularly with the next generation.
The young star maintains millions of followers and recently launched her own fashion and living company.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
